Jure Meglič

I was born on October 18, 1984 in Kranj, just a few kilometers out of Slovenian capital city Ljubljana. In my childhood I spent a lot of holidays with my family near rivers where I got opportunity to sit in the boat for the first time. That immediately impressed me and in 1995 I started to train in the biggest club in Slovenia, named KKK Tacen. Until I was junior I was paddling and competing white water slalom and down river. Later I decided just for white water slalom, because I found myself in it.




First time I reached the top of kayaking in the year 2007 by winning world cup race. That showed me I am on the right way and I felt much more self-confident, so in 2010 I become 3rd in the World and 2nd in European championship.









In next seasons my biggest wish is to paddle as good as I know and with this I mean not only to defend last year results but improved it.
These goals can not be possible to reach without great team around me and the best equipment from Hiko sport.
